adipose is another name for fat. adipose is loose connective tissue. they support and defend the eyeball. connective tissues are not tightly packed and are typically suspened itn extracellular matrix of fibers. adiopse tissue protects the eyeball form outer enviornments and works as cushion for eyeball.

Adipose is another name for "fat". I would tend to think that would be mixed with soft tissue of epithelial also and not exclusively adipose. But I may be dead wrong but its what is logical from what I can remember from Micro and Anat.

To cushion the eye .. then on its return orbit, to pressure the eye from within until it explodes in harmony with the rest of your head. Good Luck ! :)
