I think it's time for a new party something that is not so extreme but something down the middle. I'm done with the right and left how about something in the middle something for everybody to be happy with. Why does it have to be either or. There is no compromising in this country everything has to be all or nothing. What great examples we set for the future leaders of the U.S.

The Democrats lost the South due to the GOP successfully associating conservative values with Christian values. Of course, they are NOT the same, but that doesn't matter if you can make people believe it. So far, in 12 years, the only law the GOP has passed that had a 'Christain Values' flavor to it was to maintain "Under God" in the Pledge. They've done nothing on abortion, nothing on gay marriage, and nothing on public displays of the 10 Commandments. On the other hand, they've widened the gap between rich and poor, put more people living below the poverty line, blocked social programs, and harbored a pedophile.

Democrats certainly have no claim to any greater faith. But then, they aren't MAKING any claim to greater faith.

I can't speak for anyone but myself. I have a firm belief that allot of liberals realize that the democracy we Americans believe we have has already faulted. That freedom, liberty and the American way have all become things that are traded on the stock market.

I side with neither the democrats nor republicans due to their sponsors and the invested interests in guiding a country away from it's people.

Big money runs the machine, politics have become just a side show to keep the public from tampering with the gears and levers.

The dems lost support from the south because of the Civil Rights, ever since then they've been struggling to find a good base, since their liberal core won't provide enough votes to support them, especially being up against the moral majority

They can't know where they are going until they determine who is offering the biggest payoff. (Not limited to the Dems) And why would they blow their chances of being elected by being honest?
