Please forgive me for putting this under Politics... but those that will have my answer will most likely be in this category. (age and maturity) This is so important to me.

My ex-husband and I are to re-marry soon. We were married for 28 years, and have been divorced for 7 years.

I am making a Wedding Program and trying my best to remember the name of a song...from awhile back.

The song is about this man and woman that are totally different but yet in love. The title reveals the comparison. I believe it goes something like this....
(Something)Wine and (Something) Shine.

I can't remember to save my soul... but it was a song we both loved as it was "us"!! I don't want to ask him, as it is part of a surprise.

If you have been around for awhile, as I have... and can remember the name of that song, I will be so grateful if you would share with me.

Thank you...

Thankyou for your answer...

Thank you for your concern. He has proved himself to me in every possible way and it has been a steady effort over a period of 7 years. I believe we are making the right decision.
However, I really need the name of this song.... Thank you!

Is it Summer Wine by Nancy Sinatra and Lee Hazelwood?

Or how about:
Kris Carpenter- " Cheap Wine and Watered Down Whiskey"
Hank Jones-"Wine and Brandy"
Marti Jones-"Champagne and Wine"
Katrina and the Waves-"Red Wine and Whiskey"
Trinket-"Burgundy Shine"
-OR- Could it be........
David and Sugar- "New York Wine and Tennessee Shine" ? :o)

LOL........ Thought I'd keep you in suspense for a sec.
By the way, I hope you guys have a long and happy life together.

Is this it? Shine Shine by the Bee Gees

I've never been sorry for the way I was raise
The enemy fewer
And the love that I made was a symbol of the times
A celebration of the wine
I made a memory in you
I'll still be the reader of the letters you write
I'll never be lonely for the rest of my life
There's a corner in my heart
We can never be apart
No, we can never be apart

No tomorrow
You be gone tomorrow
We can dance the night away
I can bestow to you all my love on your wedding day

Shine shine
For how much longer you'll be mine
There'll be no vows to be broken
You mean the world to me
Someone else that we both call love in your eyes
I believe together you'll shine

I was born to be with you on the day you were born
A beautiful angel with her face in the sun
She was searching for the moon in every sparkle in the spoon
You haven't changed
I'll still be the face in everybody you see
A light in the night if you need me to be
In every corner of the world
If any smile becomes a tear I will shelter you from the rain

No tomorrow
You be gone tomorrow
We can dance the night away
I can bestow to you all my love on your wedding day

Shine shine
For how much longer you'll be mine
There'll be no vows to be broken
You mean the world to me
Someone else that we both call love in your eyes
I believe together you'll shine

And I - I love you
There's no one else I place above you
Life is a road before you
And while he can show the way for you
My darling I will pray for you

Shine shine
For how much longer you'll be mine
There'll be no vows to be broken
You mean the world to me
Someone else that we both call love in your eyes
I believe together you'll shine

Shine shine (repeat last verse)

One may hope that this works. You need to take a careful look at why the relationship failed before; are those reasons now abated?

Human can make mistake once ..but who makes it twice....well
how easy it is to say "renew my vows"....either you are committed and married or you are not married. Why have a sea-saw relationship?
