What is going on here? I've posted before that I have extremely high blood pressure. I'm only 24 and weigh 130 lbs and I have had a reading of over 210. I was hospitalized and put on 150 mg atenelol and I got even worse. ALl test came back negative, heart, brain, cancer, adrenal.... I was then put on HCZ and diovan and got even worse! It was not lowering my blood pressure and I felt like crap and always anxious! My mom and grandma came to help me and they have improved my diet to an extreme. I have been eating lots of fruits, veggies, whole grains, and calcium tablets. They demanded to the doctors that they take me off of atenelol- the doctors dissagreed. But I got weened off, and now I'm only on Diovan (80 mg) and HCZ 1 pill (25 mg), and still eating all my vitamins, exercise small, and trying to eat more food. NOw my blood pressure is 80/40, and I feel dizzy now. what the hell is going on? Is this medication making me worse. THis blood pressure stuff is making life hell

Hello-Is the blood pressure trouble in the family? Are there any Womens health centres that you could talk to. Look in the phone book and see if there is. Maybe try the Y.W.C.A, just to ask about a woman Dr. you can go see. There is something called tela health, you call them and it is nurses that you get to talk to. Now this is in Canada. You may have something like it,but try a womens centre, i'm sure they could help.

Take Care!

Some of those symptom's sound related to your blood pressure. You could have blood flow problems. It would help if you listed your stats: age, height, weight, ect. Then people could have a better idea of what your body is like, as that other poster stated a possibility of diabetes. The best option though is to consult a doctor, if this is a continual problem and it's almost constantly affecting you you really should have it checked by a professional as soon as you can. Headaches, tempt, and dizziness are not something to ignore. Good luck and take care

Is ur blood pressure consistantly below 100? If yes, ur dr might need to reevaluate ur dosage or even take u off the meds. Some people can control bp with diet and exercise.

Your change in diet and exercise AND the calcium tabs are affecting the properties of the BP drugs & how they work. Call your Dr, and if you don't get results,go for a second opinion. I had a heart attack @ 32, and it could've been prevented if I had been educated on the silent killer. Good Luck/health 2u.
