How is it that these celebrities can get away with this. Some people wait years to adopt. They are put on waiting lists. Obviously money has a lot to do with it. But Madonna? Yikes!She is one disturbing woman. Does anyone else find it strange?

I agree! Baby's are not hobbies!!! Sometimes celebrities are just plain weird!! They must lose touch with reality or something!!

I find it very disturbing. Its one thing to let Miss Jolie to adopt look at all the things she does for the world (works for the U.N). I dont think she does it for ppl to notice her i think she does it out of love for these children. Madonna on the other hand is copying the choices of Jolie/pitt just to get on the media again. First the kiss with Spears now shes adopting a child. I think its a poblicty stunt but who really knows, she could really do this for right reasons. But i believe otherwise If she really cared she would have no problem adopting this child ( father saying he didnt want hes child adopted). Madonna would have cleared all this up before this adoption took place. i also agree with the others responding that celebs shouldnt get special treatment when adopting a child. My point is out of all the ppl who want to adopt why give Madonna a child.

Your missing the point. The idea is to adopt a child, raise the child ,so it may think on it's own ;allowing it to grow and prosper. Some people do have to wait a long time; however they are looking for certain children that they feel comfortable with: I'm sure. there are others in Africa, but I don't see any of these people running out their doors to adopt them.

Well that's what Nanny's are for. The Nanny will be raising him mostly because Madonna I believe is still on tour. I does bug me that these celebrities can just adopt anywhere, anytime. Some people have been on waiting lists for ages. I totally agree with you on that point.

See would not be my first choice either. But almost all of these celebs are adopting from 3rd world countries, if you or I wanted to adopt from one of thes countries it would be more than easy to get a baby. What I do find even more disturbing is how all of these celebs are going to other countries and adopting children, babies & tots all of which are not white, when there are thousands of non white babies, tots & children here in the US that need a stable loving home aswell.

Well, it is not really our business, BUT it is strange that it is the "thing' with celebrities to adopt from other countries. Like they are collecting different types of people.
Also, it is strange that she would take him from his own father. The father says he did not really understand what he was signing. If I was her, I would take that particular boy back and find a "collectable" who does not have parents already.

Yes! I agree with you 100%. Also, why do celebrities get free perks like cell phones and cruises? They are the ones who can afford them and they don't have to pay a dime. It really sucks! That poor child will never lead a "normal" life :-(
