If Hawaii and Alaska were the only two states, which one?

I'd pick Alaska - I like the snow.

I would also choose Alaska, it is one of the last pristine frontiers that we have not yet destroyed. I would like to see the Northern Lights as well.

I would pick Hawaii.
I currently live in Alaska and its not really all that great. There are alot of other states that get more Snow than Alaska,(since ya like the snow)

Alaska for sure! My reasons: I would hate to feel like the only way to get to any other place is by plane or boat. Hawaii is crowded and it rains a lot. Alaska does have long winters, but it's so beautiful and has lots of room.

I hate the snow. But Alaska's housing is cheaper, you'll get a yearly oil payment, there's lot's more room to roam --- lot's more.

The key would be to find a good enough job so that you could afford to winter in Hawaii. That would be the total toys hot set-up...

And the Aurora Borealis --- especially when it covers the entire sky (yes, you can hear it, too) -- competes with the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, Bryce & Zion anyday.

Hawaii! Skimpier clothing. For me, snow/ice = danger during the workday. The penalty for violating Newton's laws is much steeper during winter. Plus, there's snow and then there's COLD. A lady friend I know in Alaska says it's EARLY winter when the ocean starts to freeze. lol

I've been to both places. Alaska's a nice place to visit but I'll take Hawaii any day to live in.

summer's in alaska are amazing, you can read a book by the sun until midnight.

i'd have to lean towards alaska too though, it's just so beautiful
