If you are not allergic to eggs, you will most likely not have a reaction to the shot, except some soreness at the site. Some people get slight flu-like symptoms but they were more than likely going to get sick even without the shot. The flu shot lasts 90 days.

Hello- The only way of having a reaction from the flu shot , would be that you have an allergy to eggs. If you do don't get a flu shot.

When I had my flu shot this year, the nurse said to hang around the office for 20 minutes to see if there would be any bad reaction to it.

Well from the people I know there are a lot of people who get it or some form of it from the injection. Usually they last about the same time as the flu - a week or two. I wonder why something like that makes you feel like what you are trying to avoid. I also know some people who do not react.

Last three flu shots I got made me progressively sicker. 36 hours, 72 hours, then a whole week. I'll take my chances with the flu.
