it's for middle school football and i'll be playing wide reciver and maybe cornerback. but mainly wide reciver.

You should absolutely find one that is comfortable and learn to run in it before taking the field.
You'll be sorry if you don't. There are dirty players out there once you get in high school and college that try to hit you there just to see if you are wearing one and hope they'll hurt you if you aren't.
Plus in a tackle legs and arms fly and you get hit there by accident all the time.
Be careful, use your cup, and kick butt....good luck with football my man!!

YES. That is the only answer I have. Football is a contact sport and sometimes you will get contact in areas you don't want contact.

No. Parenthood is overrated anyway. And if you're even asking this question I don't think you need a helmet, either; it doesn't sound like it would be protecting anything too valuable.

it's better to be safe than sorry. but to be honest with you i played 4 years at QB, WR and FS and didnt wear a cup and not once was it a problem. i would say just to wear compression shorts.

yes because you want to protect every part of your body in football, and i'm guessing you're male so you'd want to protect the most important part of your body, which is where the cup comes in heehee :)
