strike in 94 strike or war in 1904

Not sure about 1904, but in 1994 was the year that the baseball season ended because of the players strike, and the 95 season was started late because of the strike.
Teams were looking into having replacement players just to have a season in 95 till the players and owners reached an agreement.

1904- New York Manager McGraw refused to play the series as he viewed the American League as the "inferior league". What's funny is that his National League team lost the World Series in 1905!
