I know I'm not supposed to anymore (I'm 35) but some kid was texting the other day in a restaurant and it about drove me crazy, I finally had to tell him to shut it off. (all of the wait staff came by and thanked me afterward)

i never heard of it. i hoped that you were kind to that boy or asked his parents instead of him if he could turn it off. Hope you werent a meanie head........

I'm 35 also and I can hear it too! My husband, who is 41, can't. It's a very annoying sound!
