I see recently on TV Ad`s that one in five kids lives with hunger in Canada ! Is this really true? Can somebody explain this to me? I am so sad to hear that ...I never thought that in a nice country like Canada some kids sleep hungry at night. How is it possible?

I don't think it makes sense. In Canada you have wellfare which supports the families who don't have enough money to support themselves. Also, you have to know that the immigrants that are in Canada are much better off than being at their own country which for most of them would starve to death if they relied in their government. In addition, as some said above that you should define hunger more appropriatly.

Here there is a law every Canadian that makes more than 50 thousand a year gets a bebe gun to go and shoot the poor little ones, generally I feed the little ones that live in my back yard

=( Sadly it is true. I'm not exactly sure as to all the factors, but one major factor is that our taxes are crazy high and as a result it may be hard to make ends meet. This is mostly the case with immigrant families.
My University had a week of "Fight Canadian Poverty". It opened my eyes and broke my heart.

Can't be right.
But one DOES have to define hunger.
I sometimes go to sleep hungry, but for dinner I eat more than some in India or Africa eat in a week.
