You did not specify that the condition would be to only talk to one person.

I was going to say Maimonides, because he was such a wise and well schooled philosopher. And Socrates and Plato. Yet we can converse with them now, through their works and the biographies of these greats men. And in the Torah or Five Books of Moses, we are enjoined not to co

mmune with the dead, nor to have any dealings with them. I would hope that when I cross over the River Styx, or Charon, or go to Heaven, I'll see them there. I'd like to sit and visit then also with Madame Curie, Mata-Hari, Clara Bow, Gertrude Stein and Alice B. Toklas, Dorothy Parker, Marianne Moore, and Sor Juana Inez de la Cruz. Oh, and Frieda Kahloe.

What about Cervantes? Wouldn't that be awesome? Or Shakespeare? Ask him did he write all of those tragedies and comedies?

As to the living, I'd like very much to have an audience with Mr. President, George W. Bush. I'd like too, to talk with Karl Rove, Mr. Cheney, David Addington, Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, and specially my own two Senators, Saxby Chambliss and Johnny Isaakson. Madonna and Bjork too.

But if I don't get off line and get some sleep, I won't be fit to talk to anyone of that caliber, not if I'd like to hold an intelligent conversation. Good night, everyone.

It would have to be Thomas Jefferson, and I say that because I would really like his interpretation of the Constitution, as it stood when it was first written, and what he would think of todays' world. I believe that we have altered the Constitution so much, that I really do not believe that Americans have any real rights anymore. Sure it is a historical piece but what about the meaning, Equality for all does not seem to be the way people think anymore, freedom of speech is another issue that we all struggle with. Every year more and more of our so called freedom is curtailed. What about in God we Trust, we have taken it out of our schools, it will be removed from our currency, and we have to fight for the right to keep the MT. Soledad Cross, because of one man (atheist). All men are created equal even has its' doubts. The American flag once flew proudly in our country, but if you go over to another country, we as a country are seen as bullys' that want everyone to believe what we believe or we put sanctions against them. What happened to us being a proud country, we do not even take care of our own people, their is the poor, the homeless, the veterans we used and then though them away like garbage, we have disease, and have taught our children to hate and to kill. I do not believe that is what T. Jefferson foresaw for our countrys' future...

As fas as the fifties and the times of the other guy go I would say Marther Luther King Jr. and Abraham Lincoln. Two things that stand out from each of them...Marther Luther King was alive during Elvis Presley times and he opened up a can of whip *** to racist and Abraham Lincoln became a lawyer by way lower standards than today's standards I forget the complete story of Abraham but it was very interesting.

1. Alive would be: Kenneth Copeland, because he makes some amazing statements that are truly true> and seems to truly love the Lord.

2, Alive would be: A woman that truly loves her man and he her; I would love to hear their story.

1. Dead/yet alive would be: Jesus Christ, because He is the the only God man and had more wisdom than anyone on our planet in our universe.

2. Dead/yet alive would be: King Solomon because he made some really sad statements and seems to have had a sad life; yet he was full of wisdom after Jesus Christ being #1 and King Solomon being #2.

Possibly with my grandson.

At this point in life and looking at the road travelled , I feel remorseful and think that I should have taken a different road many , many years ago.If I would have to talk to my parents , my teachers , I feel I will make all of them unhappy and guilty. I may tell them or accuse them that they should have guided me properly.

With friends , it will be different and they all will have their own stories of failures , shortcomings and "miss the bus" ramblings.

With a grandson , his own, young enthusiasm and innocense , his attitude would be a tonic rather than a crying shoulder. Even if the kid would not understand what I would be saying I will still go on.

Steve Allen, the original creator of the 'Tonight Show'. The man was brilliant and witty. He was around and influenced the creation of modern entertainment. He had high moral standards and adored his wife.

He wrote an excellent special for PBS called "Meeting of Minds" that got me interested in reading philosophy.

Marguerite Duras. I saw an interview with her on TV and I was fascinated. She was a free spirit, a fearless and authentic person, a blend of exposure and secrecy. I admire her for her wisdom and her courage.

I already can talk with Jesus of Nazareth.

So... why not someone like Cassie Bernall. I would be intrigued to hear what perspective she has now - after being killed at Columbine for her faith.

Would she do it again? Does she forgive her killers? What regrets about life does she have? I would move that message along.
