I'd like to know any suggestions please, on good deeds you can do secretly for Thanksgiving. I don' t mean helping at a homeless shelter or soup kitchen by being seen and heard. Just doing a good deed anonymously. Any suggestion helps.

Find a needy family and leave on their doorstep some non-perishables and a gift certificate for a turkey. It is also nice to throw in something like a box of chocolates. If you know the family and their sizes you might include a coat for each child or a nice outfit for the season and a gift certificate for a photo studio (Wal-Mart sells packages for $10) You might include some decorations for the season like candles and a table cloth. If you don't know a family, you can talk to a local church. Tell them your plans and they will tell you who needs what.

A good deed does not need a special day. Whatever you come up with, try the same idea at times of the year that no one else is thinking of helping. People get more help during the holidays. What about the times of the year when no one is thinking about what people need and go without?

You can donate food to a local food pantry or get addresses from a local church or Salvation Army of families in need and drop off a full Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings. I've done stuff like this before.

call local social services and get a list of people that need help, then either give them whatever you want to donate either in person or via another way. believe me they will appreciate anything, just give from your heart.
