Election gives the people the right to choose their leaders. Parties must not employ dirty tactics in campaigns in order that there will be a good competition. To eliminate personal attacks but to debate properly on issues.

The whole thing of having a democracy is based upon majority rule, that's how come eleceions are important. The different parties have different view points on different issues which may or may not be passed as laws.

I think that elections are vital in order to use a civil method of ousting poor performance in our officials. Time and again, people complain about dirty politics, negative ads, the in-crowd (like skull and crossbones).

I try to send a clear message and vote THIRD PARTY. I am tired of voting for people who tell lies and slander one another to me. More often than ever third party candidates are holding the "balance of power".

The Democrats and Republicans have run to the middle so much and placated so many people with money, that there's not a thin dime's difference in their overall performance. They usually poll in dead heats with the country confused about which one stinks less. I won't be responsible for putting big money hand-shakers back into office.

Getting more people to vote in the first place will help diminish the power politicians and parties have of buying groups' support with campaign promises. I vote for candidates running on the Libertarian Ticket. They have the most impact nationwide, are the best organized third party and have a 30 plus year history.
