Ive been playing basketball for quiet a long time, and i have only been hit in the groin area a couple of times. I wouldn't, for one, its very unconfitable, and two, i dont think u can run full speed wearing a cup. It's very rare when someone gets hit in the groin in basketball, and even if it happens, it won't be that serious

absolutely not...its needless...ive played basketball literally all my life and its not something that you need to wear. if ur a guard, the only chance that youre gonna have of getting hit where it counts is if ur in the paint and if youre short then you may not be goin inside too much but if youre a forward then youre bound to get hit or elbowed (its happened to me). but for a guard, no cup...tough it out.

I think you should try going without one because they're uncomfortable, and if you keep getting hit in the balls, go ahead and wear one. Being a center, I don't know what it's like to be a guard, but I get hit in the ball frequently. It's all about what works for you.

No, but you should wear a mouth guard because elbows fly around all the time, especially if your playing against Karl Malone.

no. nobody wears a cup in basketball, you cant move as well, and the ball is big, so it would be more spread out if it hit you, unlike in baseball. dont worry about it.

No. Not only is it restrictive, but you'll be focusing more on it then the game. anyway, if you're a guard, you won't be down in the paint where most people get pushed and shoved around.

Yessir. You gotta protect the nuggets. You could try a soft or flexicup if you want, too.
