This is easy try to remember your history lessons on the Greeks. They had gods and plenty of them and remember if a volcano blew up or a drought hit then they did not pay enough to the gods. So for all time this has been said that GOD/Gods have forced natural desasters, but thats just simply rediculous. Even the Egeptians did the same thing so please people NO if a natural desaster occurs its nothing more than our planet that we live on responding to changes within itself or from space i.e. studies are showing that some lightening maybe caused by solar flares from the sun.

Never let fear of a HIGHER POWER ruin your life if you read into them most HIGHER POWERS want you to be happy and enjoy your life.

Use some common sense. If some enity created the Comos, which I am agnostic about, but absolutetly positive that if such an enity exist she or he isn't viewing events that occur with counter in one hand, and after so many violations sends punishment in the form of storm. Many natural disasters are caused by Jackass politicians, poor building codes, bad timing or bad luck.
It is tuff with all the negitive PR to get a sense of Muslim sense of community. That is interesting and wonder how close their sense of community comes to one that existed in USA after depression. This world would be much better off if one group could not use religion to cover their failings. This group exists in all major religions.

To some they are acts of God, to some they are just nature's random events and to some there is no need to distinguish between the two.

I personally don't think God punishes. But that's just me.

I think God gives me hope and strength when I have faced trying times.

to mathewhp2:

GO READ A BIBLE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!! go to your local book store and pick up a version of a book called The Holy Bible. You might want to pick up the New International Version, its alittle easier to read for someone of your statue. EVERYTHING that goes on in the World is at the hands of God - Jesus Christ, Our Lord and Savior. The one who died for us at the mercy of his father to forgive us of our sins.
