Why did they name the car christine in the movie about the car, I know its an old movie but i was just wondering if anybody knew. Maybe it was someone that wrote the movie knew or what?

omg..I know who wrote the movie i was just wondering why they named the car "Christine" ? Why they/he chose that name?

King stated in an interview way back when the film first came out that he simply thought the name Christine sounded both scary and sweet at the same time reflecting the cars personality.
