Hotels, companies that do custodial work in office buildings like Sodexho or Aramark. Fire and ambulance people. Dispatchers. A lot of manufacturing companies have third shift jobs. Many grocery stores are convenience stores are open 24x7 and need night shift people to stock shelves, be cashiers, clean up, etc. Some call centers have night shifts. Cabbies and bus drivers. Security gaurds obviously. Some fast food and diners.
If you haven't been finding the jobs you need on Monster and CareerBuilder try tweaking your search because they are bound to be there. For instance, in the keyword field include the phrase "and not nurs*" (without the quotes) and it will eliminate most nursing jobs. But a LOT of jobs aren't on the big job boards. You have to figure out the types of places that have night shift jobs and then find their corporate web sites. Or if you're looking for retail, just walk in and fill out an application.

Home Depot receiving tends to pay a little better than most overnight stocking jobs. Go to the Home Depot website and apply and then go to the store that you applied for and try to get some face time with the HR person. I think that Lowe's is also on the same page. Try the finer hotels...I used to know a lady that got decent money doing a hotel's books and overnight desk. Police disptach is another place to try, although they may ask you to train during some day time hours first. Good luck!

Try looking for work with a janitorial company. If they put u to work with a group, u will have set hrs, but if they give u ur own building/place to clean then u can clean it anytime from when that place closes in the evening to when it opens in the morning. Either way, the work will b late evening hrs. Good luck!

convenience stores/gas stations, I worked at one about 10 years ago and made 7 bucks an hour and that was ok for back then on a job like that. Plus not a lot of hard work.

try doing customer service. a lot of companies have 24 hr 1-800# that people call. besides working at night you will probably get a shift differential. just be prepared to handle angry callers.

Hate to say it, but have you checked out any restaurants? Or night desk clerks at various hotels/motels? Have you gone to your local One Stop (formerly unemployment office)? They provide free services for anyone looking for a job. Do you know what type of work you are interested in doing? You could try www.ajb.dni.us/ or www.flipdog.com or www.joboptions.com I wish you luck!!
