Also, you can create a redirect once people have paid... The download page should change from day to day so people don't abuse the link (once they know it).

There is a couple of things that you need to consider when people download from your website First, who are you getting your service from? Second, do they have a dinosaur computer or a late model one ? Third, what time are the d/l's being done ? The first answer is the most important one on your side because you are supplying d/l's to the customers. Another issue can be the type and the size of the file. Another issue can be the software being used to download. Any or all of these questions can lead to a better download. A few words to leave you with would be bandwith, service provider and user friendliness.

You need to create a server side script which will handle the transaction like ASP ( http://www.asp.net ) or PHP ( http://www.php.net ).
