i had my gall bladder removed 7 months ago and have gained 15 pounds since than could you help

My wife went through this about a year ago... she didn't gain any wait from it tough she did have some problems with greasey foods.. she easts the wrong thing and runs to the bathroom

I agree with everybody!!!! Some people lose - some people gain - some stay the same! I lost at first, but slowly gained and I'm sure it was because I could eat foods I hadn't been able to have in so long! Give yourself some time...watch what you eat and do a little walking before the weather gets too bad. You'll be fine!

Having your gall bladder out should not cause weight gain. I had to have mine out when I was 22. And it did not cause weight gain.
Also I am a registered nurse. And medically I have never heard of it causing weight gain. If any thing most people tend to lose a little weight because of not being able to digest certain foods such as roughage.

I found quite a few bulletin boards on the net with the same comments that you are making - it seems to be a prevelant problem.

I actually lost weight because I didn't feel like eating and I had also just had a baby. Are you eating more? I know some people who eat more after having their gallbladder removed because they can eat greasy stuff again.
