Hey avonman...screw you!!! You don't know me! I have worked hard all my life and I hold 2 college degrees. I signed up with primerica because I was looking for something I could do part time and make my own hours while I stay home with my baby, so it is not that I'm lazy! Maybe you should get down on your knees and beg God's forgiveness for being so judgemental of someone without having all the details! I feel that I have been "scammed" because primerica has blatently told me to lie to my friends and family----no respectable company would do that! Also, the regional vp, who stands up there in the meetings and claims to be a millionaire and says that primerica has helped him and his wife live the life of their dreams debt free, has a long list of recent court records in this state alone for tax evasion, tax fraud, judgements for large sums of money owed (some from bank of Primerica) and been sued by reps for not receiving checks as well as from car dealers and

other companies! Yeah, a real stand up guy-----NOT!!!! Also, I have done some research on the net and I am certainly not alone in my view on primerica. You say you have only been with primerica for a couple months-----that's not really long enough for you to make such a judgement, they must have really brainwashed you for you to judge so vehemently. Either that or you are just the type of slimy, underhanded, lying, scamming person that is perfect for the job!

To be scam is to pay something and you got nothing in return and the identity (in this case, Primerica Financial Services) runs away. In the case of Primerica, if you pay $199, you get to build a business in financial services. Therefore, you received something in return and its up to you to decide what you want to do with it. Some people pay $199 and run away or quit. So they blame the company for scamming themselves out of the opportunity.

Things you can do when you submit your Independent Business Application:
1) If you know anyone who needs lots of legal protection or a family that needs a Will, you can start selling prepaid legal to them.
2) Depending in which state you live, you can get a free mortgage certification by watching a 30 minute video.
3) You get to recruit people. Some people are against it and some are for it. Those who are against it are the people who like to work by themselves. Those who are for it understands that you can't run a business by yourself.
4) You get to attend licensing school for infinite amount of times until you pass the school. If you fail, no one cares. Take it again until you pass for free at the company expense. So, if you're a person who wants to maximize the value of your $199 investment, you would fail the school intentionally and go back and take it again. lol.
5) You get a full support system. Any questions or problems you may have, you can call the home office, which has over 1800 employees working for each and every single rep.
6) You can work part time or a very spare time basis while keeping your full time job.

The thing that gets to me about it is that people judge this company based on the people Primerica is the number one financial institution in the world. So you really have to understand that you can't control some of the people that you come across in the company, sad to say people can make a bad name for the business. You really have to understand the value of what Primerica does they really create solutions for families, they created one for me and my family. I mean really just has been a blessing to me, I mean practically everyone in my family have Primerica products. So don't allow people that you come in contact with give you a bad taste they do not run the company or influence what the company is all about they are just human beings. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience but I am having and have had a great experience with the company. BOTTOM LINE PRIMERICA IS NOT A SCAM, either way you look at it people are so afraid of the opportunity because we know no other way, we have been taught all our lives to work for someone and retire barely getting by. The key to this opportunity is to have an open mind. When people say it is a scam that is wrong I am an honest hardworking spiritual person and would'nt want anyone to scam me so I would'nt want to be the scammer. This company has taught me to have a position of integrity and to be able to have the freedom I have never even dreamed of to retire my parents and live freely but opinion are opinons. Peace.

I am a Primerica Representative. I have only been with the company for a couple of months but am having great success. I of course know how to effectively run a business. I have owned a hair salon, sold Avon for 4 years now. Primerica is a business opportunity not a JOB. You are in business for yourself not by yourself. This is the only company I have ever worked for that actually wants to help you succeed. You may have received mis information and feel you were scammed, a lot of people have. In this world their are a lot of people only out to make a quick buck and scam people, those are the ones who lose everything, including their license and appointment with Primerica. My suggestion to you in the future would be to get on your knees and ask God to help you find the right career choice for your life. He will guide you into the opportunity He wants you to be involved with. Any business opportunity takes committment and hard work. God did not say you can sit back and expect the world to give you money and cloth you and feed you and take care of you. You must work hard for want you want out of life. Being in business for yourself takes discipline and motivation. These two traits are lacking in our country because most people in our country are lazy and expect things to just be handed to them with out any effort on their part.
