Just curious. I know my other name came from both sides of the Family... John, after my uncle and Johnson, the americanized version of the Swedish Johansson.

I never asked my parents about Scott, and no I'm not bragging, just looking up Swedish naming conventions.

It's crazy & I'll bet know one else can tell the same story!!! Ok, my mom went into labor one day and ma-maw took her to the hospital. After hrs. of pain and labor I was born !!! My Dad was still out drunk and know where to be found !!!!! So she took it apon herself and named me Tina Marie. The morning she was to take me home LOW & BEHOLD in comes my loving father. He asked to see me, but he called me Charlotte Ann. My mom had already named me, so she tore up the Birth Certificate and renamed me Charlotte Ann. It's the name of one of his friends daughters that he had played with and named me after her!

Yes -- Named after a Character in a book that my mother loved -- and the initials of my name are the same initials as my father (Polish tend to use the Intials of the Father to name the children). I know where my Polish Ancestors were from, as well as why the ones who came to America did come to America.

Won't say what my name is for privacy reasons. It's an Irish name though - my mom's part Irish and proud of her heritage, so she wanted to give me an Irish name. She was also a teacher, and had to pick a name that she didn't associate with any of the "problem" children that she had instructed over the years. She picked my name because she said that she had only taught "smart and kind" children with that name.

My mom picked my name from a D&D character she played in highschool. All though orginal she wanted to name me Valene but my uncle kept saying kids in school would call me Vaseline. So that became my middle name instead.

I was named after the street where my parents got together and got pregnant with me. They could've told me I was named after a saint; talk about being creative.

I'm pretty sure my Dad got it from a comic book, Dram isn't Your average name outside that genre. They threw the Por on it because we didn't have any money and they weren't very good spellers.
