What I clearly don't understand is does anyone really believe that Iraq or the middle east is close to being in a state of peace???? We have been there 3 to 4 years and we are in the same state as when we started.

when did he quit? he has never told the truth about the iraq thing before why do you think he would start now. also look for a draft to be iniated after the first of the year. he can not keep adding numbers to iraq without getting men some way and they sure will not be volenteering like he is going to be needing.

actually the big picture is ...we will never bring peace to the middle east,we will never "win" this war in iraq,we are and invading force that has subjected the iraqi civilian to living in a war zone (you have to be completely insane to think that they are better off,or that they appreciate being invaded and subjecting them to...well like i said a war zone) the big picture is we are going to lose a lot more of our soldiers are young and brave and best in a war that we cannot possibly win,the big picture is that daily our war escalates the muslim hatred towards the west it is actually a war against the muslim world (or they certainly feel that way) the big picture is that it is a sham by your beloved bush to make him and his cronies a quick buck and leave it to the next guy to deal with.

Staying the course means fulfilling the initial goal: bringing peace , stabily and democracy to the Middle East. Adding or removing soldiers has nothing to do with the overall plan. You need to get the big picture.

Are you kidding? This is what could finally bring our troops home. Instead of patrolling certain areas, with more troops, they could do multiple swooping raids and catching these insurgents and ending the war quicker and also getting our troops out of fire. This could finally bring the end of the war before the next election
