Best time to visit Yellowsone?

I'd like to go during the better weather and least crowded time of year...??

Try September or May,
The crowds are very small, the weather is OK, but not great due to the altitude, and all the services and staff are running at 100 % levels.

Ideal conditions would be during the spring or fall to avoid the hottest and coldest parts of the year. It would be hard to say when there will be a lot of visitors but logically it would have to be around spring (since it would be warm) and the summer (since that is when they have their vacations. Other than that, I don't really know for certain.
