i understand that some people may see him as a good president ( which i don't agree with) but in the past week while i was talking to people a lot of them have said how he was the best - even better than Roosevelt, Jefferson, or Lincoln. Maybe i have been hanging out with too many liberals lately

He was a good president there were more jobs and less deficit and he left office with there being a surplus. I wish you had put more to your question then he clearly was not he was good at his job and did it well if your referring to his extra marital affairs that is none of your business or mine. It should have been just between him and his wife but the republicans brought out the story and he tried to hide it so his daughter and wife would not get hurt by the republicans pushing the story and it got out of hand. but this had nothing to do with how he ran the country I don't even know how he did the job he did with all the stress he was under they tried everything but the people voted him in for two terms I would say that there were republicans who voted for him to. There were a lot of good presidents so I don't think we can say anyone was the best. But Clinton did a good job when he was president.

I think he was a good president because he made friends in the world, not enemies. He handled terrorism the right way, he kept a good economy, left his country with a financial surplus (that means no debt), he didn´t promote intolerance, he had charisma and a quiet and definite sense of authority around him. He was not only a president, he was a diplomat. He definitely was not George GI Bush, who wants to make the US a supreme nation with bombs, bullying and throwing of tax money around the world, killing innocent young Americans in the process.

You know that this whole immigrant wall thing... this collective and sudden hatred against illegal aliens is a strategy to distract us from the real problems... and win the coming elections.

So for all the things he did and DIDNT DO, Clinton was, I believe, a good president.

He surely wasn't the best, far from it. But he was a hell of a lot better than GW. He was better for the economy. He was a much better diplomat (this is an integral part of running the most powerful country in the world). Although I questioned Clinton's support of our basic constitutional rights, GW makes Clinton look like a libertarian.

But why are we still mulling over Clinton when we've got a new, far more dangerous, far less qualified president in office right now?

Why is it that when someone is asking a question they say everyone, clearly not everyone thinks clinton was the best president and of course there are some who do so what that is their right to think it. If you don't agree well that's ok too. Isn't this the freedom we are supposedly fighting for in Iraq, the freedom to say and think whatever we want without the fear of persecution??? Why does it bother you that other people think differently than you. I don't understand why when we don't agree with someones point they are unamerican, liberals who want to destroy america, come on everyone sees things and interpret things differently that is the beauty of America.

well he certainly was better then george, but he made mistakes as in rwanda and the yugoslavian war,but he did put our country into a 3 trillion dollar surplus for the first time in decades,he was truly a man for the people, his health plan which was shot down by the republican house out of spite, would have been one of the greatest achievments of any presidency as far as a for the people legislation,he was a lot more environmentally conscious and forward thinking then the take the money and run attitude of the republicans (im a commercial fisherman by the way so dont accuse me of being a greeny,i just want to make sure my children have a future)sure he had his faults but i think all in all he had the best interest of the people in mind,a helluva lot more than reagan, bush 1,and most certainly bush2

Clinton clearly wasn't the worst president we've ever had, but he was at most fourth worst.

Lincoln actually declared war on America, destroying the "union" that he's credited with saving.

FDR gave us the rampant federal bureaucracy that's been growing ever since. SSI particularly.

Carter was so far out of his depth, he didn't know he was out of his depth.

Clinton would have been a great president, had he been half the man he pretended to be.

Because the majority of people on here don't study enough history to have any real frame of reference. Go back and look at Carter's administration and see what he did to our global political position and how he destroyed the economy. Carter is the reason that Reagan got elected, and it was Reagan's economic policies that provided the good times that Clinton reaped. But what it boils down to is the fact that most of the people on here will blindly follow their chosen party's rhetoric without any thoughts of their own. So if the Democratic party says "Clinton was a great president", they will simply rote and recite obediently.

Well maybe it was because the economy was booming like it never had before, wages were rising and prices were stable. In the past 6 years wages have decreased for the first time since the Great Depression, prices for essentials like housing and oil have skyrocketed.

It might also be because under Clinton, the budget was balanced and we had a surplus in the treasury as opposed to a $7 trillion dollar deficit.

It's clear the television has done to you exactly what they intended to do. They say something over and over until it becomes the truth. Keep your head and understand what most citizens out here across the country know: Bill Clinton was the worst president of all time.

He was a helluva lot better than the fool that's in the office now. Was he as good as Lincoln etal. - probably not, but in recent history he was the best we've seen in a long, long time. Just compare his accomplishments with those of the ****** that is president now.
