How deep is this scratch, can you see silvery or black in the scratch, or is it whitish?

If it's whitish it probably has not gone through the clearcoat, so you could try this: ( a friend emailed it to me)

"Here's that stuff for after the debadging: http://www.langka.com/, then click on Clear Coat Repair. You want the complete kit. You want to use barely any pressure when sanding, and I found that small circular motions work better here than linear. Also you want to go a little beyond the area of the ghosting so it blends with the rest of the panel. If you still see some hazy areas when done, just repeat the after sanding steps again."

oh.. also you may want to file a police report and see if your insurance company will cover the cost to repair the vandalism

If the scratches are really bad then there is no way around it, it needs to be painted. one thing you could do is use the touch up paint available at wal mart or most parts stores. you could also take it to a body shop or detail shop and ask if they can do anything.

No insurance ?? I have no deductable comprehensive that covers vandalism and such.
My wife got her front door all scratched up, $950, insurance paid every penny.
You can't touch it up, got to paint entire area, door, fender etc.
