You can only use the chip in a cingular phone. I had a TMobile prepaid and my sis gave me a RAZR that had cingular, but it wouldn't let me use it. But a friend gave me a Tmobile razr and it worked, so you can only use the chip with a phone that was from the same provider. There is a way to unlock the code that cingular puts on it, but it costs money, and i don't know how to do it.

the simcard in a pay-as-u-go phone will work on any nation or
family talk plan, as in the case of cinguar, all pay as you go
phones can be transfered to a FTplan or NAplan, but only
spacific phones can be used if your trying to move from a Ft or
Nation plan to a pay-as-you-go or GOphone plan.

A friend of mine who works for a cell phone company says it does. She even advises customers who have lost their phone to use a pay as you go until a good deal comes along. I don't know if it would work for every brand, though. Can't hurt to try.

I think if you do have a deal with a good service provider, they will easily get your question solved, but if it is cingular wireless, they never do. Sorry.

It no longer authentic, my suggestion to you would possibly want to to be to an reliable AT&T shop and be conscious what flow phones they have, then flow decrease back to walmart and purchase that similar telephone. i comprehend someone who has an popular contract, with AT&T and broke their "severe priced" telephone, went to perfect purchase and offered a flow telephone, inserted the SIM in, and replaced into decrease back in the speaking recreation. so that you would possibly want to respond to your question its no longer authentic. solid success, desire this helps.
