He is the NWA world champion he beat Jeff Jarrett at Bound For Glory this past sunday.

Last Sunday, Sting won the NWA championship (a championship with more history and prestiege behind it than any WWE title, though not as much fame and commercial exposure) at TNA's Bound for Glory PPV. He looked better than he has in years and didn't need to wear the "girdle" style wrestling attire that he wore even in WCW.
