Teaching is tough. Some teachers have bad days and it effects their performance. You have to overlook it unless it happens way too often. Then there's no excuse. That teacher needs to take a long vacation and rethink career goals.

Personally it depends on to what they are inconsistent about and to what degree. Most teachers that i have that are inconsistent are not that bad. Normally it happens every once in a while and as long as no serious damage is done academically or whatever then i accept it.Of course if it happens often they should find a way to better themselves as they could be hurting the kids they are teaching just because they are not the best themselves.

Teaching is a hard job, nevertheless a teacher must be adequately trained to consistently perform good and help students exellently understand all concepts.A teacher is responsible for what forms in a pupil's head, a bad teacher many a time leads to bad scores in her subject especially for average performing students.Such teachers should be immediately thrown out of school unless they make it a point to improve themselves.
