"Video Killed the Radio Star," by the Buggles. It was the first song played on MTV and it set the future for rock and roll and music in general.

The Clash's best album was released in '79 in the UK and '80 in the US. I think that counts. Also, they have more albums released in the 80's that are pretty darn good (excluding Cut the Crap).

I vote The Clash.

Choose any song.

Well the person who said "i can't wait", it's my mom's favorite 80's song. I don't have an actual favorite, but some of my favorite 80's songs are "dance hall days" by wang chung, "too shy" by ko?however u spell it, "you spin me round like a record" by dead or alive, "komomo" by beach boys, "smooth criminal" by michael jackson, "sweet child o' mine" by guns and roses and "somebody's watching me" by rockwell. Also Forgeiner's "I wanna know what love is" is one of my favorites. And the starship song "Nothing's gonna stop us" and many others including Madonna.
