I have been an EPL fan for about 5 years now (I'm American by the way). Originally I was a Villa supporter, but am lately questioning whether Villa is the right club for me. I may be relocating to London soon and feel like I should begin supporting a London club (not Chelsea). Is this ridiculous? I like the Arsenal for obvious reasons, but West Ham has its allure as well. Between Arsenal, West Ham, Aston Villa, and Man U, who has the best fans (most loyal, friendliest, fighters, etc.)? Also, whose matches are the most fun to attend? Finally, do East Londoners support other teams besides West Ham?

Just go Tottenham. They have everything you are looking for. They are located in London, always a strong team, a huge fan base, a sweet looking jersey, a good manager, one of the best goalkeepers in the world...and they don't just buy the biggest name players like Chelsea and Man U. They develop talent and pick their youth players carefully (Aaron Lennon). Tottenham Hotspur rules...become a fan of the Spurs bro!!

Tottenham, Fulham, and Charlton are other London sides in the EPL. But in other divisions there are many more London teams all of which are quality. You really don't have to worry about which to choose or follow, because even some smaller ones have a lot of support. I'd say once you're settled in see what you like, you're surely get the chance to see some games.

Just don't support CSKA London aka Chelsea.

Considering that you you were a Villa fan at the start and that this team is a founding team, I think that this is your team. Just make sure you don't go out intending to buy a Man U jersey and pick up a Man City jersy like I did when I was a tot.

Arsenal is the best team to support in London. They play magnificent entertaining football and have very loyal fans. I'm not sure how friendly they are though. They have a sensible coach too.
