This means you're stealing your neighbour's connection!

You should get a wireless router and also broadband Internet if you don't already have it.

Just ensure to make it secure so that others can't spy on what you do, and also to stop them from stealing your connection like you're doing now with your neighbour.

you can get it no problem but its not a good idea.

first to even get it you would need a wireless card and the proper drivers to make it work. or a wireless USB adapter and drivers for that.

assuming you get that then yes you could go into a neighboring network and get free internet. but im fairly sure its illegal to do...

plus its the same concept as going over to your neighbors car and siphoning out the gasoline from their car.(cept there comps will still run fine when ur moochin ur internet....they might experience a little bit of slowdown, but tats only if you take up lots of bandwidth ;P )

also if the network is open enough for u to get in, then no it isnt secure(hence why you could ge in) so that means that anyone on the street could find the open network and do the same as you, althought they might not have as good intentions as you.

you can enable your wirelses card and see if any network is available. you could be getting an unsecured signal from a neighborgh who has it. just click on it, then click on refresh. it should show on the lower part of the opened window; click on it, then on apply, and voila! you are on. remember to install a good security system/program on your computer so as to be safe from predators; and always update your windows!!!

Sure. If one of your neighbors has wireless and they left it "open"... but that tosses moral issues into it.

1) you need a wireless network card
2) your neighbors will have to have it and you have to be in range.

neighbors have it... it's fair game to leach off it as long you're not doing anything illegal.
