I am guessing that you have a 2000-2004 Grand Am. If so they had problems with their windows but General Motors won't own up to it. The design causes the switch in the power window to overload.

Either it's off the track or the motor needs to be replaced. That's the bad thing about automatic windows...costs about $200 to have a motor replaced on average.

With the car on press the switch down and look at dome light, if it dims, your switch is fine.
If your switch is okay, leave car on, hold down switch, and hit the door panel with side of fist fairly hard at front-middle position, this should jar motor and will come down if motor not dead and switch is good.
Or take it to auto glass repair shop and they can check for free if reputable.

I'd really need to know the year, make and model of your car to even begin to tell you. It could be a window regulator, a blown relay (though the symptoms sound wrong), an issue with your window switch pack or anything in between. Could you please elaborate further?

first thing, check the switch to see if you got power coming out of it,if you do then check to see if the belt(some cars has belts)is broken, then check the motor, but if i were you i would first check the switch.

you have 2 techniques bypass to the broker areas branch or bypass to a wrecking backyard. i might bypass to the broker first that way you be responsive to how lots the area costs then you definitely be responsive to if the wrecking backyard fee is honest or no longer.
