I am married to a French citizen and want to work in the UK. How do I get a work permit for Europe?

You don't get a work permit for the European Union. You have to get one for the country in which you wish to reside/work. Alternatively find out from the website of the Home Office, Immigration & Nationality Directorate http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/.
