In the World's Series, where do they come from? How do they get that 'job'?

Somewhat more P.C. than "ball boy" or "ball girl" is "ball attendant". Some end up being fairly well know, like Kelly Barons from the Red Sox; she's been on Sports Center twice for making great catches on foul balls. Being really hot doesn't hurt either =) (http://www.boston.com/sports/baseball/redsox/gallery/06_07_05_insider?pg=4). It's largely a "who you know" sort of job.

ball boys/girls.

I think that they alternate w/ the bat boys/girls. They usually like to keep the jobs with people that they either know, got a strong recomendation or know somebody on the inside. Connections are important. Don't burn any bridges!!!

It is the Balldude who picks up the ball and throws it in to the crowd. My guess is that they played when they were younger and now they just do it for fun.

they are typically called ballboys or ballgirls......they arent there just during the world series, every team has them for every game.

sometimes team hold contests for the posiiton, most often though i would imagine it goes to someone who "knows" somebody in the organization.

those are ball-boys and ball-girls.

Not sure how they get the job, usually by knowing someone in the organization, I would imagine, though.
