Financially, it doesn 't seem to be a horrible deal. GG might be paying $50 million in premium for the takeover. However, the companies might have different management styles or their corporate cultures clash. The problem seems to be below the surface. So, do your due diligence if you plan to invest in either of the companies. Good luck.
