We spend the 12+ years of school expecting summer vacation, spring break, thanksgiving break, christmass break, and about a million other days off. Then we are dumped into the cold hard world and the boss says "we get two weeks a year, and no long weekends" It's enough to make one depressed.

That sure is unkind. But maybe you should see if you can find a better job than the one that only gives you two weeks off a year. Surely there are jobs that give you more vacation time. Unfortunately, though, that's the cold, hard world, I suppose.

We're the only industrialized country that only gets two weeks and that's usually only after working a full year.

We are supposed to be the world leaders but in the work force we lag far far behind.
