Those who know ANYTHING about the disease or have read his book know the truth. He has what he calls "windows", short periods of time when he is able to control the ticks. These have become few and far between as the disease is progressing. He felt it was more important to get the message out than to wait, possibly days, for a "window". I have nothing but respect for the man. He has accepted and come to terms with his disease, unlike some other people.
Limbaugh has no right to talk about someone being "off his meds".

Not sticking up for Rush because I'm not a fan of his either but all he did was tell the truth about Michael J. Fox. Fox has stated on several occasions that, when he's going to speak in public on this subject, or do a political ad on it, HE DELIBERATELY DOES NOT TAKE HIS MEDICINE SO HIS SYMPTOMS WILL APPEAR TO BE MUCH WORSE. That came right out of his own mouth, not Limbaugh's
To make matters worse, the only research that is not being supported is embryonic stem cell research. Destruction of embryo humans for research is a bit morbid, and it makes a whole lot of people uncomfortable about experimenting on PROTO-HUMANS. What makes it worse is that the research already done on embrionic stem cells has lead to the production of tumors and malformations in the patients tested.
You people need to read the facts of this case before you go blowing off at the mouth all hysterical about Michael J. Fox. he's playing you like a cheap harmonica.

I heard a Doctor speak on this today. Apparantly the meds actually can make you shake more. If you dont take the meds, you are stiff and cannot speak at all. So the meds are taken so the person is more able to communicate. I think what RUSH did, especially taht drug addict criminal A..hole was absolutely dispicable. He should be pulled off the air for that or FOX should sue him for defamation, he has ZERO right to comment on someone else's medical misfortunate. He was doing so out of sheer ingnorance and it was plain viscious. Almost as bad as Ann Coulter's 9/11 widow remarks. I guess they all trained at the same "School of Hate and Moronics."

Rush was so far out-of-line making that comment that he might as well just stand up and call Michael J. a liar. All Mr. Fox had to do to appear more effective in his TV spot would be to stop taking his meds for a while, which I doubt he would do because it would serve no purpose. I am a supporter of easing of the suffering in debilitating diseases. Rush needs to get a plug for his mouth...

I saw the ad and the interview and his interview was much steadier than the ad. My uncle and aunt havesuffered from Parkinsons for over 30 years and my mother-in-law had her own stem cells harvested for re-implantation. I have not formed an opinion on the tv-ad but did notice the difference. Who knows? I can see your point, but could also see the difference.

That makes me sick. I can't believe he would say that about Fox. All Fox is trying to do is get awareness out there for Parkinson's. He is to be applauded. Some people just disgust me.

It's not about Rush and it's not about Mike. It's about
