I figure it to be big business. They know that the planets resources are limited and are trying acquire all rights to those limited resources. Its the job of the government to keeps us mere mortals confused and in ignorance. As an example. War in Iraq? Oil ! When big business have signed contracts with the government that we install in Iraq for their oil then we will have peace in the area.

Its a balance of powers.
Congress(House of Representatives and Senate) writes and votes on the laws.
The pres. approves and enforces the laws
The Supreme Court decides if the law is within the bounds of the Constitution.

CORPORATIONS. Corporations donate large sums of money to political candidates, who once elected, do favours for the corporations. The politicians are puppets, the corporations pull the strings.
