Would basketball be more popular if the sport had lets say a higher ratio of white players?? I think so because I look at Nascar, and they are very popular and I just think white people like to support their own... So if basketball was 40-50% white would the sport be more popular??

This is not a stupid question but it doesn't have a simple answer. Basketball would not be more popular if it was more white, it would actually probably be less popular because of the decrease in athleticism that fuels high powered dunks. It is not racist either but less white people can compete strongly in basketball than in other sports making them more popular. Baseball? Football? Nascar?

i dont think color has any thng to do with it. The white ppl i know either watch football or basket ball or both. But it all depends on on who you ask.I personally think basketball is more exciting and more popular than nascar or hockey.
Also, i personally think that if the NBA where 40 -50 percent white, and those white ppl where good players then probalyy wouldnt make a difference. But yeah eveyone is different...

I am a white guy and if basketball players went on strike, then I would have a heart attack. there is good white players in the league, but I dont think white people count Dirk or Nash because there not american. By the way I would have never gottin into basketball if it were not for Allen Iverson. To me race does not matter, what matters to me is how much skill a player has.

White guys would make the sport worse!!! Unless you got a great group of white basketball players, which is very rare. Sorry bud, blacks have taken over and are dominating the nba.

how do you figure? look at football? most popular sport in america and there lots a black. if there were more whites in basketball the teams wouldnt be as good that's just the way it is.
