Are you putting it inside or outside your lashline? Inside is so much easier and I think it looks better.

No prob.
Benefit has a bent brush that is perfect and easy to use. I use the liner cake by Benefit...you put a dab of water on the cake...swirl around the brush..making a little paste....then with your third finger, gently pull at the end of your corner eye, gently move the brush along your lash line (get at close to lashes so there isn't a space between color and lashes) this provides a smooth line. Since the brush is slanted it provides a natural arch...to match your shape of eye.
It will take a couple of practices...but you will love the results.
Enjoy!

There are two technics I've found depending on if you are using pencil or liquid.
Pencil - Pull your eyelid tight and make quick, long strokes making sure to keep the line connected.
Liquid - Pull your eyelid tight and make one long stroke.
You should always start off very thin and then thicken it to however thick you want it little by little. Soon you'll be able to get the exact line you want without even thinking about it!

If you use a powder liner that you can get wet, use a very stiff angled brush to draw your line. This way it won't be too thin and the mistakes (from a shaky hand) won't be as apparent if you have any.

If you go little little lines at a time connecting them, it helps, pretty soon you'll perfect it and can just draw it. Place your elbow on the counter or something and get close to a mirror.
Hope that helps.

I pull out slightly with my forefinger so that my skin is taught around my eye. Not so hard that I am hurting my skin, just enough so that when I draw the line my pencil doesn't wobble and give a crooked line.

Apply the liner, then take a liner brush or a wet q-tip and remove the uneven parts. This works great for me.
