No, it's an old wrong idea. People used to think it improved traction on snow, but it has the opposite effect. Keep your tire pressure the same. And don't forget to check the pressure when the temps drop.
And, DON'T lower your pressure in the summer as Prodi said. It will cause your tires to overheat and potentially blow. Do you remember all the Firestone tires on Ford Explorers a few years back??

No, you should check the air pressure in your tires regularly. When cold, things(metal, wood, stone, air) contract and when hot, they expand. Tires might change their profile on the road surface slightly, say overnight, because the air and the rubber of the tire has contracted. But, as you drive a short distance, the friction between the road surface and the tire will warm up the rubber and air returning it to the proper shape. This is a very slight difference we are talking about.

No, this practice is a fallacy. As a matter of fact, if anything, you would want more pressure in the tires to better keep the treads open, but it is not recommended. Use specified tire pressure the entire year.

Not only should you not lower the pressure but you have to add air to maintain the same pressure as the temperature drops.

surely, in the adventure that your tire is large, then i do no longer see the place the priority is coming from. besides the shown fact that, I do suspect that it rather is difficulty inclusive of your TPMS ( Tire stress monitoring equipment ). they could be PITA if no longer taken care of precise. surely, i might pass to self sufficient tire shops, like Les Schwab, low fee TIres and what no longer, and have them set the TPMS wisely on your needs and desires. you're in all likelihood on the incorrect tire stress on the 2d, yet i'm optimistic those adult adult males who works @ the keep will help you. while you're there getting issues looked at, have them verify your tire challenge to boot, merely incase if the tire has air leaks someplace.

No. Tire pressure should be the same year round.

nooooo just the opposite, lower it during the summer, or whenever you drive for long periods of time.
Spinning of the tire causes the air in the tire to heat up, when the air heats up, it expnds and needs more space, and therefore, the tire is about ready to explode.
I suggest you maybe increase the pressure if you park outside a lot.

Some people think they get better traction but it's not recommended by tire manufacturers. Just learn to drive with conditions and you will be just fine!
