No one ovulates like the text books and doctors say. I've had 3 kids, with 2 of them I knew exactly when I conceived and it was way off what the doctors said. Go with what you think. I even told my doctor I knew exactly when I conceived but they still pulled out that stupid wheel, lol. Everyones cycle is different.

Your due date is calculated as 40 weeks from the first day of your last period.

You will note that 40 weeks = 10 months. Pregnancy lasts 9 (i.e., 36 wks). This calculation assumes you have a 28 day cycle, with ovulation occuring on day 14. This is just a nice average, which is applicable to few women.

Using this method of adding 2 weeks to the beginning and end of the pregnancy lets you deliver 2 weeks "early" without the doctors worrying about the fetal health.

the ultra sound measurement is also just a statistical average, whcih is why they give you such a large range for baby's gestational age.

With my first child, I was charting my temperature and knew exactly when I had ovulated and conceived. Ultimately, it doesn't really matter, right? Basically, if you were keeping track of when you had sex, you can figure it out for yourself, and ignore what the doctor is telling you - when it comes to conception dates, who cares what date they say?

You got pregnant on April 13th if your due date is January 20th or you got pregnant on April 17 if you are due on January 24th. Add 3 months and subtract 7 days from due date. Eggs live 3 days. I see they are adding where I am subtracting so, if that is true(?) you could have gotten pregnant on the 29th when he was home (which would make sence since the egg lives 3 days). I'm sticking with the 13 or 17th, tho.
