Basically Im trying to get all of my music organized in my itunes so when I finally cross over to the millennium and get an ipod, all of my music can be stored in there. I know itunes can play some WAV files, but I guess Im anal and would like all of my music to be in mp3 format.

I use "Audio Mp3 Converter" version 2.42 for all different formats - it's very easy to use but it's not free (it's not expensive, either). It can convert wav files to mp3 and vice versa - I use it to convert mp3 formatted songs to wav files to save space on my mp3 player - so far it's been working pretty good for me!

iTunes is able to import music from your CDs to the iPod.

I personally use CD Ripper, very easy to use, many formats to choose from. You can download a free trial from http://www.smartcdripper.com/?id=scdrgg
The full version is only $19.99.
