Well I am a person who enjoys the company of Youtube because I don't have TV at all. It helps the days pass away. Youtube was a great way to broadcast YOUR videos, I remember a few days ago I showed my Grandmother and dad that my little sister was on TV. Of coruse she wasn't really on TV, but she posted a video of her and a few friends. Youtube is a pretty much an entertainment center. It keeps your entertains and helps you catch the episods that you missed because you were out, busy, someone else was hogging the TV, or for whatever reason. On the other hand, as for the unfairness for the companies. I really do think that this is a big loss for them, because people don't need to pay for cable and such to watch TV, and also that they don't waste their money buying it on dvd. But hey, either way someones going to do it. Might as well get the most you can out of it, right?

I think that You Tube is a great web site and I can find anything that I'm looking for usually. Like if there's a really funny commercial or a clip from a tv show that everyone is talking about (like when Jay-Leno did his version of the Gap's Black Pant (Fat *** Black Plant or something like that), I was able to search for it and find it with no problem. I'm extremely glad that Google got ahold of it because they will integrate their technology to make it even better. As far as full length movies being posted on there, I wasn't aware of that going on. It doesn't bother me any because movies and everything else we buy today is just so expensive. I'm sure it can't persist for too long because it's illegal and I'm sure Google/You Tube would like to remain legitimate. If documentary films and things of that nature are posted, I think it's a lot better than having The Little Mermaid or something.

I love it :) No I don't think its unfair, mainly bacause the majority of copyrighted material is pulled off and the quality is never that of DVD, so movie lovers will still always buy. But then again I love limewire and am all for file sharing rather than lining pockets. You Tube is just a great level of media communication :)

Personally I think it is a load of rubbish. Some folk will, initially, get some entertainment from it; but I forecast a short, intense, life for the site

I think its fair game for anyone to post whatever they like. the video quality is so bad that anyone willing to watch a movie on it would never buy the DVD anyway.

I think people take it a little too seriously sometimes. Its entertaining for sure, but otherwise its over rated. Kind of like myspace.
