all freaky and upset with you. I had someone just call and demand to know who I am and why I called. I said it was just a wrong number and I must have misdialed. It was like on Chappelle show "When keeping it real goes wrong"...omg. What do you do when someone you don't know calls you and they are all upset?

Thumbs up, great question, this happens to me alot.. I call back a number on my cell, then next thing ya know, some crazed crack ho thinks I'm banging her man.. lol.. I swear she starts asking me all kinds of personal questions..
Now, I just say that your number was used to call me regarding a legal matter, and that I have to abide by client/attorney confidentiality, therefore can't talk to about those matters.
Even if I was lying,, its likely to get them thinking..

I have never had any one get freaky. I have had people call when I have gotten a wrong number and I have called when I did not recognize a number and they did not leave a message. Now when I think I have a wrong number I leave a message usually saying I think I have the wrong number. I am trying to get hold of Tom, Dick, or Harry or whoever.

I would just hang up on them if they were lie that. First I would tell then that I just misdialed but if they still acted like that, I would definitly hang up

Yes it has happened. They get a lot of calls because their number is one digit away from the time and temperature service. They still hadn't figured it out when they called me. I think the guy thought his partner was running around because he got so many hangups.

Some people get really paranoid at the thought of someone having their number, knowing they are normally non published numbers.... same thing happened to my brother and he freaked!

I dialed the wrong number and I hung up before they answered, well they called me back and wouldn't let me go until I told them what I wanted!
I just hung up again!

Whoever it was probably was in the middle of dealing with a cheating significant other. But no, I have never had that happen.
Just apologize and hang up.

well that happend to my friend once. but yeah when u dial the wrong number don't hang up just say that u got the wrong number it works a lot better
