I read in a medical journal of women who don't have eggwhite cervical mucus that are using room temp., raw eggwhite as lubrication. The study said some women have gotten pregnant using this. I was wondering, has anyone heard this or tried it?

the study said that raw eggwhite is pure protein and sperm is mostly made up of protein.

I have heard of this and I have heard that it is totally safe. I read about a couple who were trying to conceive and used egg whites, they were pregnant that month! A woman's cervical fluid is made up of mostly the same stuff as egg whites!

I think you might be getting a little confused. Often times you can tell if you are ovulating by looking at your cervical mucas. If looks like eggwhites than it is a good sign! But, like you said, not all women are fortunate to have this tell tale sign. The eggwhite cervical mucas does not get you preggo, it just lets you know its time. Another reason why its there is because eggwhite cm is easier for the sperm to get through rather than thicker cm. I would think real egg whites would just be another substance for the sperm to have to get through. But either way, it has nothing to do with lubrication or protien or any of that.

Good luck =)

I wouldn't trust eggwhite in my vagina.

Not at all... I'd be afraid of infection (yeast infection), use the water soluable lubricants available at most drug stores or "adult" stores... just make sure they don't have spermicide.

Yikes...That is quite drastic. I'd be afraid of getting a funky infection. Interesting study though.

are you sure you read it correctly , because your vagina makes its own egg white mucus when you are ovulating.
