At sixteen years of age you are not in a position to be choosy about the type of work you do. I remember covering shifts very similar to yours, and I quit too! I kept searching until I found the job where I was appreciated and not worked to death, but since it is very hard for a teenager to find good work, I would look at this last job and evaluate where you could have been a better employee. By looking at yourself, you can make sure you are doing the best job you can do for your next employer.

How many days did you request off in your FIRST week? Part of the job is to train, and that's either opening or closing. Just because you request days off it isn't guaranteed you'll get them because there are other people to consider when scheduling. If you believe that every place is going to let you choose your own hours and work days only you want to work, you are in for a very, very rude awakening.

At 16 you are limited to retail or fast food. It is not necessarily the place- but the boss that is the problem. There are good and bad everywhere. Work where you like.

I can't tell you were to work, but I can tell you that no matter where you work your boss's only concern is covering shifts. They do not care about your personal life, just doing their job. Keep that in mind for the future.

At 16 in South Carolina, they have to let you go home early enough to be home by 11 pm.

I think by law jobs aren't allowed to work school kids that late because it interfers with their school work.I would try wal-mart,or babysitting.I had worked at wal-mart and the one that I worked at pretty much will work with you.
