Absolutely. Hormones control the production of your eggs and your sex drive. Up or down, period or no period, sex without proper protection can still get you pregnant if conditions inutero are just right. Best plan: use a raincoat,; don't get stuck in a thunderstorm without it.

Usually, once you go through menopause and no longer have a period is when you are out of the baby making business. Once a period is beginning to start a woman's estrogen level goes up causing moodiness and breast tenderness. Hormones are not the key to when you get pregnant though, but may have something to do with the production of an egg. You'll get pregnant if you've produced an egg and it is sitting inside your uterus. You usually develop an egg about 2 weeks before you start your period, and the period is natures way of taking care of an unused egg.

Well once you have a period, it signals that your eggs are being released from the fallopian tubes thus making it possible for a woman to become pregnant. I don't believe it has anything to do with your hormones, but it does let you know that your body is mature enough for you to reproduce.

eggs get fertilized not hormones. if there is an egg present and active sperm present you get pregnant. hormones play a part in whether or not an egg is present.
