i need to write a 6 page paper out myth in our contemporary culture, and i came to the conclusion that superman's character may be based on hercules.
does anybody else agree?
can someone help me find a website with info about how they are related?

They are similar. They both have supernatural powers and they are both results of human imagination. Each represent the hopes and wishes of the people who created them.Of course thousands years ago when Hercules was created nobody could really believe that man can one day fly and that is why Hercules doesn't fly. Today, we can hope that one day man can fly by himself, and we can imagine that one they we can see through walls because our technology has reached a point where we can flay by a plane and we cn see behind the walls using special devices.

Can you prove Superman was half god, and his good deeds on earth were to earn his full god-ship or something of that sort? Then, you can say they are similar. Otherwise, both of them are just like any other super heroes with super powers. They don't stand out.

Hercules cannot fly, but superman can fly. Also, superman can do slow motion stunts
